Recently, over 150 community members united at the Denver Art Museum for Jewish National Fund-USA’s “Women Who Stand with the Land,” Women for Israel event, where Denverites honored and recognized the female leaders driving change while learning how the organization is building the most livable towns and cities in Israel’s North and South to attract 800,000 new residents, while ensuring that families can not only survive today’s challenges but thrive for generations to come.
Chaired by Michelle Brunschwig, the event’s keynote speaker was Aviva Klompas. The co-founder and CEO of Boundless, Klompas is unapologetic in educating and connecting people to the land and people of Israel. During her address, Klompas discussed finding the courage to confront the blatant antisemitism Jews currently face.
“There have been a lot of people who have ducked their heads and stayed silent because they are afraid of what it will cost them personally and professionally,” said Klompas. “Yet, every one of us carries the hopes and prayers of the generations that came before us, and the responsibility of the generations to come. While Israel fights a war over there, we fight for the Jewish future here.”

The event also featured a special musical performance from Shanee Zamir. An Israeli-American soprano singer and composer, Zamir was the winner of the 2013 Eurovision public vote and is a celebrated recording artist.
Additionally, local lay leaders highlighted how Jewish National Fund-USA has been building a strong and vibrant future for the land and people of Israel for 125 years. The organization is creating thriving communities in the country’s North and South, supporting critical mental health services, and connecting families to the land and people of Israel through Zionist education and engagement, creating circles of impact that drive population growth in Israel’s frontier regions.
“Every contribution we make, every Jewish National Fund-USA program we support—whether in the Israel Envelope or the North—and every connection we help foster creates a ripple of change for those whose lives we touch,” said Event Chair Michelle Brunschwig. “Each act of giving strengthens families, restores hope, and gives communities the resilience to rebuild and thrive.”
