Letter: Believe Hamas When They Say They Will Do It Again and Again

Dear editor:

Bruce Ticker fails to take the sociopaths of Hamas and their supporters at their word. (“Column: The Torment Boils Over. Should Israel Finish Them Off?” boulderjewishnews.com February 27, 2025.)

In the early 1930s many well intentioned assimilated Reform German Jews failed to take Hitler at his word when he promised the genocide of the Jews. We know how that worked out.

Did the Arabs bring stones to a bomb fight in Hebron on August 24, 1929?

Did the Arabs bring stones to a bomb fight during the Hadassah Hospital Convoy Massacre on April 13, 1948?

Did the Arabs bring stones to a bomb fight on 10/7?

The leadership of Hamas on behalf of every supporter of Hamas around the world has declared that if they are permitted to survive they will repeat 10/7 over and over and over until Israel is Judenrein.

As former MSNBC journalist, Yardena Schwartz, recently wrote:

“In late October (2023), senior Hamas official Ghazi Hammad vowed to repeat the attacks of October 7 ‘again and again’ until Israel is destroyed. ‘The Al-Aqsa Flood is just the first time, and there will be a second, a third, a fourth,’ he said on a Lebanese news program. ‘Does that mean the annihilation of Israel?’ the news anchor asked. ‘Yes, of course,’ Hammad replied.

See: “Ghost of a Holy War. The 1929 Massacre in Palestine That Ignited the Israel-Palestine Conflict.” Chapter 28. The Al-Aqsa Flood. Yardena Schwartz. Page 355 (2024).

If Israel does not finish Hamas off, Israel will be nothing more than Hebron on August 24, 1929, Mt. Scopus on April 13, 1948 and southern Israel on 10/7. Take the sociopaths of Hamas and their sycophants among  the people of Gaza as well as  among university professors and students and in the media at their word.  They constantly celebrate 10/7 and in their antisemitic bellicosity they make clear that they want to repeat it over and over and over again.

Many of Hollywood’s leading actors have in recent years consistently adopted a clearly anti-Israel agenda, with many critics claiming that their declarations have a stench of anti-Semitism masquerading as criticism of the Jews and the State of Israel.

Bruce Ticker critiques modern psychologists' political advocacy at conventions, particularly relating to Palestinian liberation, while expressing concern over the lack of acknowledgment for Jewish issues and rising antisemitism within the profession.
