The Staenberg-Loup Jewish Community Center (JCC Denver) is hosting two Jewish Deli Bike Tours that are part food tour and part social bike ride this fall increasing capacity due to the overwhelming positive interest in past rides.
The first ride is on the east side of the city for adults and families on Sunday, September 7 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. During the ride, attendees will be noshing (snacking) and biking through the Mile High City’s east side Jewish delis.
Two concurrent tours will be offered on September 7 including a full, round-trip, 15-mile excursion with five to six deli stops for adults 21+ and the Mishpocheh Family Tour, which is a four to five mile round-trip family-friendly ride with two to three deli stops. During the ride, bikers will stop by historic Jewish sites across the city.
The Jewish Deli Bike Tour: The West Side Bagel ride is for those 21+. The ride will take place on Sunday, October 5 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Denver’s west side has centuries’ old Jewish roots, and is also home to some new bagel bakeries. Riders will be stopping at bagel shops to try bagels and baked goods and will ride their way through the west side of the city.
Registration is required for all rides. Pricing is based on a sliding scale ranging from $30 to $44. The final list of delis and bagel shops for the tours will be announced to registrants via email.
