On Saturday, June 14, 2025 (18 Sivan 5785), Benji Schwartz will be called to the Torah as Bar Mitzvah at Congregation Nevei Kodesh. Benji will read from Parashat Beha’alotcha.
For his Bar Mitzvah project, Benji has chosen to give back to his community by volunteering at the Boulder and Longmont Humane Societies. Driven by a deep love for animals, he will dedicate his time to caring for dogs and cats in need—walking dogs, cleaning enclosures, and offering kindness to every animal he meets. Through this meaningful work, Benji not only will help to improve the lives of shelter animals, but also will learn the value of compassion, responsibility, and service.
