Baruch Dayan HaEmet – Rabbi Richard Rocklin z”l

Rabbi Richard Rocklin passed away this morning, January 2nd, 2025 at the Pearl in Boulder.

Rabbi Rocklin was a kind, generous, loving man and a good friend and mentor to me.  He attended High Holiday services at Bonai  and touched many lives, including at The Pearl where he lived for the last few years.  He will be greatly missed and is mourned by his devoted daughters Avi, Tamar and Shira and their families, including Rabbi Rocklin’s six grandchildren who all adored him.

The burial will be in Duluth, MN on Sunday.
There will be a memorial/shiva gathering at The Pearl at Boulder Creek, 2525 Taft Drive, Boulder, CO 80302 on Thursday January 9th at 6pm

May the soul of this very special person who left their body on the last day of Hanukkah be at peace and continue to shine their light on us, remembered always for the blessings that he was.

Hamakom y’nachem – strength and comfort to all the mourners
Blessings,
Rabbi Marc

  1. Rabbi Rocklin was a dear family friend who married my husband and I over 54 1/2 years ago in Duluth MN and remained in touch throughout the years. We were blessed to spend a day with him and his daughter, Shira, last year renewing our relationship in Boulder CO. Rabbi Rocklin was a special person who influenced many families and friends with a strong Jewish identity, Zionist and supporter of Israel and all Jewish causes. His memory is a true blessing for all whose lives were touched my him.
