The Darkness Needs to Be Seen

To Just Be
The Darkness Needs to be Seen
To begin again –
It is good, very, very good

The yarrow stalks of the I Ching help with decision making
The Tarot reader gives answers to what we seek
The astrologer predicts possibilities
The psychic tells us what they see
The therapist gives advice

I’ve looked far, circled around and behind
To understand the shadow’s cry,
Wanting to show me the darkness inside.
What I couldn’t see was what it was –
To be me.

I throw the sticks, ask the psychic
To predict, the Tarot reader shows me
The cards, to see what’s next.

The astrologer says, the stars
Aligned when you came into being,
Your work is here now
Waiting to be seen.

Doing the work of who I am, with
Therapy and with friends,
Within the wounds and shadows of time,
I look outside and in.
Around and ahead coming back to the
beginning again and again.

This is what I have been seeking
Throughout the journey, to know that I am okay,
Within myself and when I doubt
Seeking Grace from inside to out.

The Light manifesting
Can now be seen,
As I have challenged
The smaller self to just be.

To know It again
for the very first time –
It is good, very, very good.
