Denver, CO, December 2, 2024 . . . The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) is pleased to announce the appointment of Susan Rona as the new Regional Director for the ADL Mountain States Region. Rona, a seasoned leader with deep expertise in community engagement, nonprofit management, fundraising, and program development, will succeed Scott Levin, who will retire after 14 years of dedicated service at the end of December.

A native of New Jersey, Rona relocated to Colorado in 2006, where she has had a significant impact on the community. Notably, she played a central role in the fundraising and development of the Boulder Jewish Community Center’s new building and campus.
In addition to her leadership at the Boulder JCC, Rona is the founder and principal of Susan Rona & Associates, LLC, where she has provided strategic consulting to nonprofits, enhancing their fundraising efforts and overall community impact. Her commitment to community service extends to her roles on the Jewish Life Committee of the Rose Community Foundation, as a volunteer mediator with the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, and as a board member of CU Boulder Hillel.
Rona holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a law degree from Washington University in St. Louis.
“I am deeply honored to join ADL as Regional Director for the Mountain States,” said Rona. “Building on the strong foundation laid by Scott Levin and his 14 years of service to our community, I look forward to working alongside ADL’s dedicated staff, board, community partners, and volunteers across the entire region to confront antisemitism and ensure justice and fair treatment to all. ADL’s mission ensures a more just society where people are seen as people, and we embrace our humanity for one another.”
Sheryl Feiler, Chair of the ADL Mountain States Regional Board, expressed her enthusiasm for Rona’s appointment: “We are thrilled to welcome Susan to the ADL team. With her experience, vision and commitment to the mission of ADL, we are confident she will build on the great successes of the region and continue ADL’s leadership in the fight against antisemitism and hate of all kinds in Colorado, New Mexico and Wyoming.”
Scott Levin, the outgoing Regional Director, added, “As I approach retirement after 14 years as Regional Director, I take great comfort in knowing that Susan Rona will be leading the ADL Mountain States Region. She is an exceptional leader with a deep passion for the mission of ADL. I have every confidence that she will work closely with ADL’s dedicated team of professionals, volunteers, and partners to counter antisemitism and secure justice and fair treatment to all.”
