Plans to Rebuild Israel Envelope Unveiled at Jewish National Fund-USA’s Breakfast for Israel

800 philanthropists united at Jewish National Fund-USA’s Breakfast for Israel at the Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum on April 17, 2024, to stand in solidarity with the people of Israel and learn about bold and visionary plans to rebuild the communities that were ravaged by Hamas terrorists on October 7.

Chaired by Dana & Brian Friedman and Barbara & Adam Moskowitz, the event commemorated the bitter and the sweet — remembering those who were murdered, kidnapped, and injured following the worst terrorist attack in Israel’s history while planning for brighter days ahead.

Local ambassadors (lay leaders) highlighted how Jewish National Fund-USA has raised over $60 million in emergency aid since the “Black Shabbat” and has supported the evacuation and relocation of tens of thousands of residents in Israel’s South while providing thousands more with housing, food, clothing, and other supplies.

Attendees also learned about Jewish National Fund-USA’s Livnot B’Yachad – Build Together plan, a comprehensive strategic initiative to rebuild Israeli communities on the border with Gaza.

“Jewish National Fund-USA will rebuild roads, homes, and community buildings and provide increased and fortified security so that every resident in Israel’s South feels safe and secure to return home,” said Event Co-chair Brian Friedman. “One initiative underway is a new integrated civil defense, first responder, medical, fire, and rescue operations center, which will be implemented in each border community. This will increase security and build confidence for the residents to rebuild their lives.”

The event’s keynote speaker was veteran Israeli diplomat and Senior Vice President of Jewish Broadcasting Services, Shahar Azani. Azani also spoke at a Jewish National Fund-USA event in Boulder later that evening.
