Music That Will Keep You Dancing All Day Long at the 28th Boulder Jewish Festival

An annual celebration of Jewish culture with festivities, music, food, art, and more, join the Boulder Jewish Community at Pearl Street Mall on Sunday, June 9 for the 28th Boulder Jewish Festival. The longest-running cultural festival in Boulder, planned by a committee and led by Joy Alice Eisenhauer; Arts, Culture, and Education (ACE) Director of the Boulder JCC, will feature Jewish foods, music, artists, and other local community organizations. Playing a pivotal role in fostering unity, understanding, and appreciation of Jewish culture, we are excited to announce the music we have set up to bring high spirits to this year’s festival.

Headlining this year’s Boulder Jewish Festival, The Promised Land is the world’s first and only Hebrew-language Grateful Dead Tribute band. Created by musician Sagol 59, widely recognized as “The Godfather of Israeli Hip Hop”, Sagol 59 is a versatile artist, celebrated for his talents as a musician, performer, writer, speaker, and acclaimed rapper. Sharing the spotlight with internationally renowned artists, his artistic journey extends well beyond hip-hop, encompassing diverse musical ranges that span blues, folk, country, psychedelic rock, and beyond. Spending 18 months translating the Grateful Dead lyrics from English to Hebrew, Sagol 59 created The Promised Land.

Gora Gora Orkestar, an 11-piece brass band, is a high-energy performing Balkan and Klezmer music band. With rhythms and innovative approaches to the traditional music of Eastern Europe, Gora Gora Orkestar has focused on learning this music with attention and authenticity, and its members have had the chance to learn from experts in the music field at events such as Balkan Camp and KlexKanada.

Captivating live audiences for over fifteen years, singer and songwriter, Liat & the Sirens, provides earthy acoustics, and rich vocals, and performs music with a unique edge, in a new genre that Liat likes to call folk edge.

Everyone’s favorite family performers, Jeff & Paige will provide entertainment for all ages at the Boulder Jewish Festival. Using songs, storytelling, and interactive play to capture kids with nature, music, and movement, Jeff & Paige provide engaging and educational content for the whole family.

Featuring a song circle from Michelle Wolf and Susan Berman with Eyal Rivlin on guitar, Mark Megibow and Rabbi Marc Soloway as MC hosts, we have eventful high-energy festivities lined up for all to enjoy on Sunday, June 9 at Pearl Street Mall for the Boulder Jewish Festival.
