“Jew-Hating” Ethnic Studies Department Exposed at CU Boulder

Defending Hamas’s butchery and violating Jewish students’ civil rights.

The Ethnic Studies Department at the University of Colorado-Boulder has been named to the list of “The Top Ten Jew-Hating Academic Departments,” according to a new report from the David Horowitz Freedom Center.

The report calls on CU-Boulder Chancellor Philip DiStefano to launch an immediate investigation to determine whether the Title VI rights of Jewish students have been violated by the Program’s statements and conduct.

Since the barbaric Hamas attacks against Israel on October 7th, American universities have become an undeniable locus of Jew hatred within our nation. The presidents of these same universities have issued bromides and made futile attempts to reign in the actions of Hamas-funded campus hate groups like Students for Justice in Palestine.

What has received less attention—but should in fact be highlighted as these universities’ worst offense—is the Jew hatred promoted by official departments and institutes of the universities themselves. In the case of our campuses, Jew hatred is “the call coming from inside the house.”

The Freedom Center’s report exposes the blatant hypocrisy of these universities and their leaders, who express horror at the outbreak of anti-Semitism on campus yet spend millions funding academic centers and departments which actively promote that same Jew hatred.

“For its heinous refusal to acknowledge Hamas’s acts of terrorism against Israel and its blatant demonization of Israel through a contorted narrative that denies the Jewish state the right to its own defense, the Ethnic Studies Department at CU-Boulder deserves its place among the top Jew-hating academic departments in the nation,” describes the report.

“We call on the universities implicated in this report to take immediate action to discipline these academic centers and departments which openly defy university policy to promote Jew hatred,” said Freedom Center Founder David Horowitz. “If they should fail to do so, we urge Congress to withhold all federal funding until they eliminate this cancer in their midst.”
