Innocence Knows the Joy at Hanukkah

Innocence Knows the Joy at Hanukkah

Innocence knows the Joy
In the child
In the lighting of the Hanukkiah
Each night

We find it again when
When we watch the flames rise
As we are uplifted by there Beauty
Where Awe and Wonder reside

As the candles descend
We are reminded
That nothing is permanent
Other than the Love of Hashem

May Hanukkah’s light bring us to
Greater kindness and love
For ourselves and each other
So we may see the world as One

Blessings to all for a Joyful Hanukkah

About Todd Greenberg

Through prayer, worship, Torah Study, and Kabbalah I have been inspired to write poetry that tends more to the spiritual and mystical aspects found in Judaism. What comes "through" me I try to put into words. I hope that at least some of what I post to BJN will resonate with you and that you find inspiration from it for your own journey. Thank you for allowing to share my writings. Blessings, Todd
