Gal Gadot to Join President Herzog for Inaugural ‘Voice of the People’ Global Symposium on Jewish Resilience and Unity

On Sunday, September 15th, 2024, at 7 PM Israel Time (10 PM MDT), President Isaac Herzog will hold a landmark online symposium to officially launch the Voice of the People initiative, bringing together Jewish voices from around the world to showcase the strength, unity, and resilience of the Jewish people in the face of unprecedented challenges.

The event will feature a live one-on-one conversation between President Herzog and renowned Israeli actress Gal Gadot, who will discuss the importance of Jewish pride and perseverance in today’s rapidly shifting global landscape. Their discussion will highlight the power of Jewish identity and the launch of Voice of the People amid today’s challenges.

Additional program highlights include:

•⁠  ⁠Tamar Ish Shalom in conversation with Daniel Lifshitz, grandson of Oded and Yocheved Lifshitz, hostages from the October 7th attacks, sharing their family’s personal journey of struggle and hope.

•⁠  ⁠A performance by Michal Greenglick, sister of Shaul Greenglick, who fell in action during the war in Gaza, paying tribute to the fallen and the sacrifice of so many in defense of Israel.

This symposium, taking place at a critical time for the Jewish community, will also mark the opening of applications for the new Voice of the People council, a leadership body that will elevate diverse Jewish perspectives on pressing issues. President Herzog will personally invite 150 Jewish leaders from across the globe to play a crucial role in addressing challenges facing the Jewish community today.
