War in Israel and Gaza: Analysis, Explanations, Memories

A Panel Discussion with Profs. Zach Levey (International Affairs/JWST), Eyal Rivlin (JWST), John Willis (HIST, to be conrifmed), and Karim Mattar (ENG, to be confirmed).

October 11, 2023, 5:00-6:00 pm
UMC, Room 235

Faced with the unfolding war and mass death in Israel and Gaza and potentially the entire region, we invite the campus and Boulder communities to a panel discussion to shed light on the conflict’s context and history. We are keenly aware that this is anything but an easy conversation and that there is a lot of pain and suffering, also experienced by many members of our communities on and off campus, but it is an important conversation to have and an institution of higher learning such as CU is one of the better places to have it. Please attend.

Organized by CU Boulder’s Program in Jewish Studies and co-sponsored by CU’s Center for Humanities & the Arts, Department of History, and International Affairs Program.

Free and open to the public. No tickets required.
Visitor parking available at Euclid parking deck.

About Staff

They call me "NewsHound IV," because I'm a clever Finnegan, sniffing out stories all over the Boulder area. I love Jewish holidays because the food is GREAT, especially the brisket. Well all the food. I was a rescue pup and glad to be on the scent!
