Solo Dance Performance, “Gone,” Featured at Boulder JCC

MARCH 5, 2023: BOULDER, CO – Upon return from an international tour Robert Sher-Machherndl’s Lemon Sponge Cake delivers a highly developed, all new solo work “GONE” – Thursday, March 23 at the Boulder JCC.

Sher-Machherndl is a force to be reckoned with. His choreography and highly specialized movement language and deeply embodied body knowledge has been gained and developed over a diverse, illustrious dance career. He continues to present and perform nationally and internationally, to all audiences regardless size and without compromise. The presence of his very being radiates wisdom and knowledge which is embedded somatically, intellectually and energetically.

“Robert Sher-Machherndl’s solo GONE is a master example of the body as moving art. He brings his long experience as a dance artist into a riveting performance that reminds us that dance is timeless.”

Liz King – D.ID International Dance Festival, Austria

“Mr. Sher-Machherndl’s language mixes snippets of textbook ballet with pedestrian movement and a more voluptuous, organic combination of phrasing and inscrutable gestures … he allows plenty of space and time to breathe.”
