Should Our Medications Change as We Age?

Should Our Medications Change as We Age?

Community as Family, a supportive group at Har HaShem committed to creating and strengthening meaningful connections for any senior (age 55+) aging alone, will be hosting Dr. Jed Shapiro on Monday, October 23 at 11:00am in the South Building.

Dr. Shapiro will speak to us about the appropriateness and effects of medications for insomnia, anxiety and depression as we age. Many older adults take medications for these issues and as our metabolism changes the strength and effectiveness of these treatments also changes. Jed will share with us the latest research findings and answer questions we may have in an interchange of ideas and experiences. Jed is a member of Har HaShem and a well respected mental health provider in the Boulder community. The talk is open to all and co-sponsored with the Disabilities, Awareness and Inclusion Committee of Har HaShem.
