Round 247…

Just when the light at
the edge of the night is
but a fluctuating orb
a top of a shadowy shore.
 We long for hope when
 hope seems no more.

We find our leaders are
acting amazingly awful.
The world is poised upon
the edge of a sword,
 Our enemies testosterone
is wreaking from under the door
A war, is just one heartbeat away,
as we play with
that final kaboom In the sky.

We pray for all leaders
a bipartisan prayer,
for one and for all,
and may they all be with Her.
May they find a way
through dark places,
with the light if Her word.
Give them grace
to find all the right phrases.

For the good of the land.
we hope they’re hand in hand.
 Endow wisdom upon those
who’ve we sent
 n place of ourselves,
who are both our minds and our mirrors.
Where chaos reigns
may peace take it’s place.
May the silence of guns
replace the noise of the night.

May our leaders have empathy
for our troubles are vast.
So many homeless,
so many hopeless,
with no place to go.
May they be just,
upright, and strong.,
to lead us out of
this doom and this gloom.
We pray for Her love
in a soft singsong prayer,
hopefully from our mouths
 to Her ear.
