A women’s seder is a variation of the traditional Passover seder celebration, which is specifically designed for and led by women. It is an opportunity for women to gather, tell their own stories, and reflect on the themes of the holiday from a female perspective. Women’s seders often include the traditional elements of a seder, such as the retelling of the story of the Exodus, but with a focus on women’s experiences, traditions, and perspectives.
The Women of the J have organized an evening of dinner, learning, singing and community building to inspire and educate leading up to the Passover Seder. The Women’s Seder on Wednesday, March 15 at 6:00 pm at the Boulder JCC will provide a space for women to connect, reflect, and express themselves, and will offer a meaningful and empowering experience for all participants. A volunteer committee has crafted a special Haggadah (Jewish text that sets forth the order of the Passover Seder) that will guide the evening of learning and conversation.
We will be serving a vegetarian meal, with all of the special Passover foods, as well as wine!
