Men of the J Presents A History of Jewish Boxers

Did you know there were 26 Jewish World Champion Boxers from 1910 through 1940?

Join the Men of the J, a program of the Boulder JCC, to hear engaging stories about some of these little-known champion Jewish boxers. Meg Frisbee, History Professor at Metropolitan State University of Denver, will lead the discussion on Thursday, October 12 at 7:00 pm at the Boulder JCC.

Boxing was an integral part of American culture during the first half of the twentieth century, second only to baseball in popularity. What most people don’t know is that it was also a heavily Jewish sport.
