Letter: Hypocritical Harvard Professors

Dear Editor,

It is to hard to imagine a more hypocritical group of professors than those more than 100 Harvard professors who recently sent a letter to Harvard President Claudine Gay opposing  many Harvard donors’ opposition to  the Joseph Goebbels style  antisemitism that has engulfed the Harvard   campus. (“Harvard Professors Condemn University Stance on Free Speech in Open Letter”, Boston Globe, 11/15/23).

These professors claim to be concerned about the influence of money on Harvard’s opposition to antisemitism. Really?

Have they ever complained about the $895,000,000 million in concealed contributions from Muslim countries that Harvard accepted and that have been reported to cause a 300% increase in antisemitism at Harvard — and every other university that accepted similar concealed Muslim contributions?

The Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy in its just released November 9, 2023 report entitled “The Corruption of the American Mind” makes clear the antisemitic effect of $13 billion in “undocumented” contributions to American universities and colleges from Middle Eastern and authoritarian governments.

The ISGAP’s findings included that at an estimated 100 US colleges and universities received $13 billion in “undocumented” contributions from foreign governments, many of which were Middle Eastern and authoritarian. Schools that received this money were found to be home to prevalent campaigns to silence professors and experienced higher levels of antisemitic and anti-Zionist incidents on campus.

From 2015-2020, the report noted, schools that accepted money from Middle Eastern donors had, on average, 300 percent more antisemitic incidents than schools that did not accept such donations.

The ten largest recipients of concealed foreign donations were Carnegie Mellon University ($1.5 billion), Cornell University ($1.3 billion), Harvard University ($895 million), the Massachusetts Institute of Technology ($859 million),  Texas A&M University ($521 million), Yale University ($495 million ),  Northwestern University (402 million), Johns Hopkins University ($401 million), Georgetown University ($379 million), and  University of Chicago ($364 million) according to the report.

These same professors never complained about this $895,000,000 in concealed Muslim funds used to infect Harvard with poisonous antisemitic pedagogy. And it has.

One example from 2017 describes the antisemitic cesspool that this $895,000,000 has bought at Harvard:

It is a pathetic and a clear example that this $895,000,000 in concealed Muslim money is now the controlling factor in a Harvard “education” since Harvard has offered this “lecture”… (When the Elders of Zion Relocated to Eurabia: Conspiratorial Racialisation in anti-Semitism and Islamophobia, 11/30/17, the Common Room)… that “equates” the immense scholarship of Egyptian Jew Bat Ye’or with the notorious forgery “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion”.

Ms. Ye’or’s extensive scholarly body of work includes includes Eurabia: The Euro-Arab Axis (2005), The Dhimmi: Jews and Christians Under Islam (1980), Islam and Dhimmitude: When Civilizations Collide (2001), and Europe, Globalization and the Coming Universal Caliphate (2011).

Yet since 1903 virulent anti-Semites have relied on the Protocols of the Elders of Zion to support the murder of Jews worldwide from the pogrom at Kishinev, the lynching of Leo Frank, the gas chambers at Auschwitz and Treblinka, the murder of Rabbi Kahane in Manhattan, the slaughter of dozens of Jews in the Argentine Cultural Center, etc. Wherever Jews are murdered, the forgery of The Elders of Zion is almost always cited as a “reason”.

Now Harvard flush with concealed Muslim money offered a course…taught by a Muslim flown in from England … that “teaches” a comparison between this murderous slime of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion and the world renown scholarship of Bat Ye’or.

For this pathetic antisemitic forgery to be compared to Bat Ye’or’s life of scholarship is clear evidence that Harvard and its professors have been bought lock, stock and barrel by this $895,000,000 in concealed Muslim money. Money used in this case to disparage Jewish scholarship.

To complain about donors today being concerned about this virulent antisemitism when these professors are feeding at this $895,000,000 trough of concealed Muslim money is the ultimate hypocrisy. As indicated above disparaging Jewish scholarship is de rigueur at Harvard with that $895,000,000 in concealed Muslim money. As Jewish scholarship is disparaged — as in Nazi universities — antisemitism increases exponentially.

Hypocrites is an understatement.
