This year marks the 9th Yahrzeit, the anniversary of the passing, of Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi. Reb Zalman was a long-time Boulder resident and the World Wisdom Chair at Naropa University. He is sorely missed!
We gather as a community to mark the occasion with a talk from Rabbi Chaim Dalfin. Rabbi Dalfin is the author of the new book “The Real Zalman,” an exploration of Reb Zalman’s dual identity as a Chassid and the founder of the Renewal Movement. We will also hear reflections and stories from those who knew Reb Zalman. Light refreshments will be served.
This program is presented by the Boulder Center for Judaism at the Boulder JCC. Rabbi Dalfin’s book will be available for purchase. This program is being offered free of charge, however, sponsorship is appreciated. If you would like to be a sponsor of this program, contact Chany at boulderjudaism@gmail.com or 720-422-6776. In an effort to reduce single-use items, we encourage you to bring your own water bottles, utensils, and other serving pieces to all programs at the Boulder JCC. We are grateful for the partnership of our community in our commitment to sustainability.
