Rabbi Marc Soloway of Congregation Bonai Shalom has recently returned from a solidarity mission to Israel. The group of 34 consisted of 19 Americans and 15 more Israeli counterparts and support staff, and was organized by the Fuchsberg Jerusalem Center, a complex that serves as the home base of Conservative Judaism in Israel.
Rabbi Marc will share what he witnessed during his visit to the ravaged communities of Southern Israel and his meetings with the parents of hostages, citizen volunteers, activists, academics, and evacuees in Jerusalem, reflecting on the impact of the war and the moods of the people. Here is an article on the mission that ran last week on the Jewish Telegraphic Agency’s website, and that quotes Rabbi Marc.
This program is presented in partnership with Congregation Bonai Shalom and JEWISHcolorado.
Bagels and coffee will be served starting at 9 am as an opportunity for people to gather and connect. The program will run from 9:30 – 10: 30 am on Thursday, November 16 at the Boulder JCC.
This program is free, though advance registration is always encouraged for programs at the Boulder JCC. For registration support call please call Reception at (303)998-1900 or contact Acy Jackson acy.jackson@boulderjcc.org.
