Celebrate back to school and the approaching fall season at the Boulder JCC Fall Festival on Monday, August 28 where the entire community is invited to join in on the fun. To start the evening, take part in the Food Truck Rally (food available to purchase) and picnic on the lawn or Levin Hall patio from 5-7:30 pm. Everyone is invited to join us inside for a “Fiddler on the Roof“ singalong with the Boulder Dinner Theater at 7 pm. This program will feature unforgettable songs like Tradition, If I Were a Rich Man, and Matchmaker, Matchmaker. We encourage you to come in costume to help immerse yourself in the evening.
Set in the little village of Anatevka, the story centers on Tevye, a poor milkman (played by Boulder Dinner Theater legend Wayne Kennedy) and his five daughters. With the help of a colorful and tight-knit Jewish community, Tevye tries to protect his daughters and instill them with traditional values in the face of changing social mores and the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia.
The Boulder Dinner Theater will run “Fiddler on the Roof“ from September 9, 2023, to January 13, 2024. This show was the first show Boulder Dinner Theater produced, a mere 45 years ago, and it will be the last before closing its doors in early 2024. Purchase tickets for the full production at BDTStage.com or call 303-449-6000.
This program is free, however, advance registration is always recommended for programs at the Boulder JCC. Everyone (1 per family) who registers in advance will receive Boulder JCC swag.
