Embracing Wisdom and Wellness – Two New Classes at the Boulder JCC

In a world where personal growth and well-being take center stage, two innovative classes have emerged at the Boulder JCC: “Wise Aging: Living with Joy, Resilience, and Spirit” and “Whole Brain Living: Tools for Brain Health.” These classes offer unique approaches to improving different aspects of life, from emotional well-being and resilience in aging to optimizing cognitive function and brain health.

1. Wise Aging: Living with Joy, Resilience, and Spirit
Wednesdays, September 6 – 27 | 10 – 11:30 am | $118

Aging is a natural part of life, and the concept of “Wise Aging” seeks to transform the way we approach this inevitable journey. This 4-week session, guided by Rabbi Eva Sax-Boulder, is designed to empower individuals to embrace aging with grace, resilience, and a renewed sense of purpose. It’s not just about growing older; it’s about growing wiser.

She currently serves as the Rosh Hashpa’ah, head of spiritual direction for the ALEPH Ordination Program, and maintains a private practice as a spiritual companion. Rabbi Eva has facilitated Wise Aging groups in synagogue and community settings for many years, integrating aspects of her training in meditation, mindfulness, mussar, and the expressive arts.

Participants are requested to read “Whole Brain Living: The Anatomy of Choice and The Four Characters That Drive Our Life” before the first session.
