On March 6 and 7, the Staenberg-Loup Jewish Community Center (JCC Denver) will host its annual crowdfunding fundraiser called Tzedakah 4 Kids (T4K). T4K is a two-day long effort to raise money for the Robert E. Loup Scholarship Fund, which provides financial aid for families to attend the JCC Denver’s Early Learning School and summer camp programs at Camp Shai, JCC Ranch Camp and Wolf Theatre Academy.
For some families, sending a child to summer camp or enrolling in the Early Learning School would not be possible without the help of a scholarship. That’s what makes T4K so important; the financial aid it generates is crucial for numerous families, and allows many young people to access vital opportunities for growth and enrichment at the JCC Denver.
The scholarship fund was created in honor of Robert “Bob” E. Loup, a long-time Jewish community builder and the building’s namesake. The JCC Denver was a special place for him growing up. Mr. Loup wanted all kids to have a safe and inclusive environment to play and learn and to build their Jewish identity.
