This Sunday, December 3 is the Chassidic holiday of Yud Tes Kislev which marks the Yartzeit (Day of Passing) of the Maggid of Mezritch and the release of the first Chabad Rebbe Rabbi Schneur Zalman from Czarist Russian prison on trumped up charges by his opponents. This day is called the New Year of Chassidism. He is the author of the famous book, “The Tanya”. Click here to read more about Reb Shneur Zalman.
