The Colorado Hebrew Chorale continues its recognition for the 400th anniversary of the publication of Salamone Rossi’s HaShirim Asher L’Shlomo (the Songs of Solomon), a play on worlds of the Biblical Song of Songs and Rossi’s 33 Hebrew choral works for 3-8 voices.

The Chorale presents L’Chaim: A Taste of Jewish Music from – Anywhere! on Thursday , August 10, 2023, 7:00 p.m. MDT on Zoom.   Dr. Elizabeth Schauer, Director of Choral Activities at the University of Arizona will present a special Zoom program featuring Rossi’s music (and some vino). 

The program is free and open to the public. 

Summer Sight-Singing Romp

7:00 p.m. MDT at the Hebrew Educational Alliance, 3600 S. Ivanhoe Street, Denver

The Colorado Hebrew Chorale announces the return of the Summer Sight-Singing Romp to be held live and in person on Thursday, August 17, 7:00 p.m. MDT at the Hebrew Educational Alliance, 3600 S. Ivanhoe Street, Denver. The program will feature the music of Salamone Rossi (1570-1630) and other influencers.  Guest conductors include: Christina Jacoby, David McNeil, Sheila Melendez, Valerie Montano and Daryl Walker.

Cost: $5 for use of music scores and refreshments.  Free to choristers who register by Aug. 1.
