Here is your chance to study Judaism as an adult. (Offered privately or as a class.)
Adventure Judaism’s adult B’nai Mitzvah class will begin again in October. The class focuses on Jewish literacy and identity and is tailored for adults. Graduates of the class will be able to participate confidently in a Shabbat service and to engage without hesitancy in the rituals and rhythms of Jewish life.
And if Hebrew acquisition has been a stumbling block for celebrating an adult Bar or Bat Mitzvah, this is for you!
When asked how this class will differ from previous B”nai Mitzvah Classes she has taught, Rabbi Korngold said:
“I’ve noticed that many adults yearn to become Bar or Bat or B Mitzvah, but struggle with the Hebrew requirement. It’s really hard to learn Hebrew as an adult! We now have a new approach to Bar and Bat Mitzvah and I am confident we can help our students achieve their goal of celebrating B” Mitzvah.”
The class is being taught by Rabbi Alan Shavit-Lonstein and Educator Rebecca Shavit-Lonstein. If you haven’t met the couple, make it a point to! They are smart, witty, and accessible. They make learning meaningful and fun.
