Shabbat shalom! Four years after the attack on the Tree of Life community, the Second Gentleman, Douglas Emhoff, honored the memory of the 11 individuals killed and shared messages of hope and strength for the six more who were wounded. He offered his support to Rabbi Hazzan Jeffrey Myers and the Tree of Life community and spoke about actions the Biden-Harris Administration is taking to combat hate-fueled violence. During his conversations, he stated that he will continue to speak out against gun violence, antisemitism, and hatred of all kinds.

Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with the Tree of Life survivors, our brothers and sisters under attack in Israel, Ukraine, and the women of this country.

Stay warm, stay safe and stay healthy!

About Editor

I'm David Fellows, and I've served as a writer, photographer and/or an editor on my junior high and high school newspapers; the Daily Trojan at USC (where I earned my journalism degree); the student newspaper at the Anderson School at UCLA (where I earned my MBA); and I've written and edited countless business documents and presentations in the ensuing twenty years. I was also a professional photographer from 1978 to 1988 (although you never really stop...). I've been involved Jewishly since my bris and in Boulder since 1995. I'm married to my Executive Director Cheryl, and we have two children, Lauren and Ethan.
