Weekly Edition: April 22nd, 2022

Shabbat shalom. Boulder Jewish News mourns the passing last weekend of one of our regular/irregular contributors, Henry Rasof, z”l. Henry contributed poems and Purim spiels to the BJN, and wrote about his interest in crypto-Jews of the Southwest as well. He was honored by the Boulder County Center for Judaism as the Chanukah Lamplighter in Louisville in 2019. There will be a memorial for him in Boulder sometime in May, and we’ll be sure to publicize it. May his memory be for a blessing.

Our thoughts and prayers also continue to be with brothers and sisters under attack this week in Israel, and in Ukraine, recently home to roughly 300,000 Jews.

Stay warm, stay safe and stay healthy!

About Editor

I'm David Fellows, and I've served as a writer, photographer and/or an editor on my junior high and high school newspapers; the Daily Trojan at USC (where I earned my journalism degree); the student newspaper at the Anderson School at UCLA (where I earned my MBA); and I've written and edited countless business documents and presentations in the ensuing twenty years. I was also a professional photographer from 1978 to 1988 (although you never really stop...). I've been involved Jewishly since my bris and in Boulder since 1995. I'm married to my Executive Director Cheryl, and we have two children, Lauren and Ethan.
