Noa Tishby, Andy Statman Trio Headline JEWISHcolorado Event

(DENVER) — JEWISHcolorado announces its signature event is back! COME TOGETHER, with Noa Tishby and a performance by guest musical act, the Andy Statman Trio, will take place Wednesday, June 15, at 6 p.m. in the new Martin Wing of the Denver Art Museum. Join event chair and JEWISHcolorado Annual Campaign Chair Lisa Mintz, Board Chair Rob Kaufmann, event sponsor Larry A. Mizel, along with Boulder Host Committee members Jackie Sprinces Wong, Elizabeth Barrekette and Brian Ratner, and JEWISHcolorado President & CEO Rabbi Jay Strear for an exciting night of community, conversation, and celebration.

Noa Tishby

The event will feature Noa Tishby, Tel Aviv-born actress, producer, writer, activist, and author of Israel: A Simple Guide to the Most Misunderstood Country on Earth. Just this month, Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid appointed Tishby as the state’s first-ever special envoy for combating antisemitism and the delegitimization of Israel.

Tishby will “act on behalf of the Foreign Ministry to spearhead initiatives worldwide before key audiences, generate an international dialogue, and respond to acts of antisemitism,” Lapid’s office said in a statement. “The creation of this post and the appointment of Noa Tishby is another step that will strengthen Israel and our fight against antisemitism internationally at a moment when Jews around the world once again face an alarming and dramatic resurgence in antisemitism,” Lapid said, calling the 44-year-old “one of the world’s most influential Jews.”

Plus, don’t miss the Grammy-nominated Andy Statman Trio, direct from Brooklyn, with Statman’s “spontaneous American roots music and personal, prayerful Hasidic music, by way of avant-garde jazz.” Called “Bill Monroe and John Coltrane poured into one person; he plays all those just great crazy jazz kind of licks.”

The in-person celebration will include drinks, and grab-n-go food stations that will fill you up while you come together with old friends. Then, sit down for a theater-style entertaining evening that is not-to-be missed. Tickets are now on sale for $180 per person. Inquire about a virtual option if you cannot attend in person. Special young professionals pricing available at www.jewishcolorado.org/signature event.
