Letter: The Islamic Antisemitic Dumbing Down of American Higher Education

Dear Letter to the Editor:

Earlier this year the Harvard Crimson enthusiastically supported Omar Barghouti’s antisemitic genocidal BDS movement. Since 2005 Barghouti, a founder of BDS, has declared the sole purpose of BDS to be the euthanasia of Israel. A student of history Barghouti knows full well that the Nazi T4 Euthanasia Program was the foundation of the Final Solution of the Jews as enacted in the Wannsee Protocols in January 1942. His use of the word euthanasia leaves no doubt that he founded BDS to continue the antisemitic eliminationist mission formalized by Reinhard Heydrich and Adolf Eichmann at the Wannsee Conference.

This September the Editorial Board of the Wellesley News embraced BDS thereby joining The Harvard Crimson, Heydrich, Eichmann and Barghouti in their euthanistic goal for the Jewish people. Of course Ivy League schools and their sister schools embracing the antisemitism of fascism is not new. Beginning in 1933 Harvard, the Harvard Crimson, The Wellesley News, Wellesley College and many other universities demonstrated a perverse adoration of Nazism as described in Stephen H. Norwood’s “The Third Reich in the Ivory Tower” (2009).

Only one thing has changed today: it is the perverse adoration of the fascism of Islamic antisemitism by Harvard, The Harvard Crimson, Wellesley, The Wellesley News and many other universities and colleges across America. The reason for this adoration of Islamic antisemitism by today’s academia is obvious and over thirty years old.

The amoral reality is that for more than thirty years Muslim countries have poured billions of dollars into American higher education and have thereby successfully produced cadres of anti-semites in education (both as professors and administrators), as well as in politics, the media and elsewhere.

The fact is that between 1986 and 2018 Muslim countries poured 6.5 billion dollars into the American university system to promote the foundational antisemitism of the Koran and celebrate Muhammad’s personal decapitation of 600-900 unarmed Jewish men and kidnapping and sexual enslavement of 1,000 Jewish girls and women in Medina in 627. (“Follow The Money – Examining Undocumented Foreign Funding of American Universities: Implications For Education and Rising Antisemitism,” June 13, 2020. The Institute For The Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy). This trough of antisemitic Muslim money has continue to pour into American academia unimpeded since 2018.

As night follows day the success of this thirty plus year 6.5 billion dollar effort to infect the American education system with koranic antisemitism is detailed in Professor Cary Nelson’ of the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign’s widely acclaimed treatise, “Israel Denial: Anti-Zionism, Antisemitism and the Faculty Campaign Against the Jewish State” (2019).

The result of this Islamic antisemitic dumbing down of American education take many forms. At the University of Southern California, a student, Yasmeen Mashayekh, publicly tweeted her homicidal ideation: “I want to kill every motherfckng Zionist”. Did USC President Carol Folt publicly advise USC’s Jewish community of Mashayekh’s jew killing aspirations? Of course not. Did USC President Carol Folt expel Mashayekh who as an adult had made clear that Jew killing was her raison d’etre and thereby remove an obvious threat to the safety of the Jewish community of USC? Of course not. $6.5 billion dollars provides a lot of protection for those who both infect academia with antisemitism and who wish to harm Jews.
Just imagine if a student had tweeted that her life’s purpose was to murder blacks? President Folt would have told that student not to let the door hit her in the back on the way out. But when Jews are the target of murder today’s educational administrators are infected with Islamic antisemitism and act accordingly demonstrating how they have been dumbed down.

Also, Wellesley President Paula A. Johnson, while criticizing the Wellesley News Editorial Board’s belief the The Mapping Project, the latest iteration of IBM’s “mapping” the Jews of Germany to facilitate their arrest and murder for the Final Solution is “a vital service” to the community, failed to in any way criticize that same Editorial Board’s enthusiastic demand for the euthanasia of the Jewish population of Israel as BDS demands. A failure by President Johnson that represents more dumbing down as a result of the Islamic antisemitism that has infected American academia.

One cannot ignore in this plethora of dumbing down across America academia as a result of Islamic antisemitism the ominous fact that so many universities and colleges have given their imprimatur to Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), a documented front group for the antisemitic genocidal mission of Hamas.

Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) was created in 2000 by Hamas supporter Hatem Bazian and pro Hamas activist Swehai Shingavi to wage a campus war against Israel on behalf of Hamas. Also Hamas is the most significant financial supporter of SJP through American Muslims for Palestine (AMP) — also established by Hatem Bazian in 2005. What is most important for all Jewish students, faculty and administrators across to remember is that Hamas is an antisemitic genocidal organization. Article 7 of the Hamas charter which has never been revoked requires every member and supporter of Hamas — which includes every member of every chapter of SJP — to murder every Jew on earth. Neither Israel nor Zionists are mentioned in Article 7.

SJP is not some benign student affinity group notwithstanding any public relations “social justice” or “human rights” pablum it may issue to obfuscate its purpose. As a documented front group for Hamas, it exists solely to promote Hamas’ antisemitic genocidal agenda in university communities across the United States. As such it presents a clear and present danger to all Jewish students, faculty and administrators at every university and college that it exists at.

As long as SJP is given the imprimatur to exist on various campuses across America this dumbing down as a result of Islamic antisemitism will only get worse. It does not have to be so. Fordham University faced with the SJP’s genocidal antisemitism banned the group, a decision upheld by the courts of New York State.

Just as most German university administrators in the 1930s lacked the academic courage to ban Joseph Goebbels and his Brownshirts, most administrators at American universities and colleges today lack Fordham’s courageous academic leadership and therefore lack the spine necessary to ban SJP and protect their Jewish students.

An even more recent example is the UC Berkeley Law school where nine student groups under the direction of SJP placed in their by-laws a caveat that no speaker can be a Jew who believes in the 4000- year-old Return to Zion, the singular foundational narrative of the Jewish Bible. Of course the Dean of UC Berkeley Law School, Erwin Chemerinsky, consistent with his 1930s German university predecessors, claimed such antisemitism is entitled to the university’s imprimatur — notwithstanding Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.
