Dear Letter to the Editor:

One hears the term “settler colonial” spewed as an obscene epithet throughout the American Academia today to disparage the Jewish people of Israel and Zionism positing the fallacious claim that Zionism is an entirely 19th century European invention when in fact Zionism is the singular foundational narrative of the 4000-year-old Jewish Bible. A Return to Zion — what today is Israel — is the only foundational narrative that the Jewish people have as described within the four corners of their Jewish Bible. For thousands of years at the end of the Passover Seder Jews have invoked the ultimate Zionist prayer: “Next Year in Jerusalem”. It is no coincidence that Jerusalem is mentioned 659 times in that 4000-year-old Jewish Bible.

In fact there was a time when the term “settler colonial” made sense. It was once applied to countries with vast armies and navies like England, France and Spain, who.did send military forces around the world to settle and colonize distant areas.

Only today has the American Academia perversely focused “settler colonial” almost exclusively on the Jewish people.

In fact, only antisemites could apply this “settler colonial” epithet to the Jewish people who had no home state to travel from to colonize…who had no army or navy to enforce its will….who were a stateless diaspora in the Middle East and Europe…a stateless diaspora that the powerful of all backgrounds for the most part viewed as the dregs of society or dhimmis…to be tortured on the rack in the Spanish Inquisition…or murdered by the thousands by Bohdan Khmelnytsky, Zelensky’s hero, in the Ukraine, murdered in pogroms in Russia at Kishinev and so many other places, murdered in Granada, Fez, Morocco, Libya and Algiers by the many thousands, beheaded and castrated in Hebron in August 1929, murdered by the millions in Europe by the Germans and their allies, roasted alive at Sheikh Jarrah in April 1948, as well as 850,000 Mizrahi Jews ethnically cleansed from homes they had lived for generations in Muslim majority countries by Muslim despots beginning in 1945. 

A colonial power? The Jews? Only members of the American Academia and their impressionable student sycophants who wallow in the conspiracy theories of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion could look at the diasporic powerlessness of the Jews for 2000 years and conclude they were a European power placing colonies around the world at will. 

In light of the Jewish people’s abject powerlessness and documented vulnerability throughout the 2000 year Diaspora — with many millions murdered, tortured and repeatedly ethnically cleansed at the whim of Islamic and European rulers throughout Asia, Africa and Europe — the only reasonable conclusion one can draw from those in the American Academia who apply “settler colonial” to the Jewish people of Israel is that they fervently embrace the conspiracy theories the Protocols of the Elders of Zion with a monstrous Jew hatred. 

In fact, the demonization of the Jews of Europe by the guards of Auschwitz braying kike and sheeny is no different than the demonization of the Jews of Israel by today’s members of American Academia like Judith Butler, Steven Salaita, Jasbir Puar, John Esposito, Rabab Abdulhadi and their many sycophants braying settler colonial.

In fact the demonization of the Jews of Europe by Nazi journalists like Julius Streicher and Alfred Rosenberg scribbling kike and sheeny is no different than the demonization of the Jews of Israel by today’s journalists at The New York Times, the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, the Harvard Crimson, the Daily Princetonian, the Daily Northwestern, and their journalistic sycophants scribbling settler colonial.

As the great refusenik Natan Sharansky has said and written one of the clearest manifestations of antisemitism since May 1948 is the demonization of Israel and its Jewish population. 

There is no doubt a once legitimate historical term “settler colonial” has been perverted by the American Academia to a point where it is in fact is synonymous with the jew hatred infused in kike and sheeny. 

The appropriate response today when one hears a member of American Academia or their sycophants in the media use the phrase “settler colonial” is to realize that they are equally comfortable with the Jew hatred inculcated in the terms kike or sheeny. All three — settler colonial, kike and sheeny — are totally irrational and perverse responses — borne out antisemitic conspiratorial mindsets — to the existence of Jews in Israel.

It is just a matter of vigilance. Settler colonial = Kike = Sheeny. No difference.
