A Special Evening of Jazz at the Boulder JCC with the Joe Alterman Trio

An exciting evening of music is in store at the Boulder JCC with Jazz pianist Joe Alterman and his trio. They will be performing American Songbook standards from George Gershwin to Stevie Wonder, original compositions, and special tributes to his piano heroes, including Oscar Peterson, Ramsey Lewis, Ahmad Jamal, and Les McCann.

Passionate about the roots of Jewish music, Alterman will be weaving in aspects of his “Sounds of Jewish America” program into this performance, exploring Jewish contributions to 20th-century American popular music and sharing personal, fun, fascinating stories and insights into the music of these great artists.
