Teens: Go Backpacking with Adventure Judaism in August

Snowy Mtns Wyoming with Adventure Rabbi4-Day Backpacking in the Snowy Mt. Range, Wyoming 

Start a lifetime of adventure with a four-day wilderness experience. This backpacking trip is a great way to learn more about the outdoors, each other, and yourself. Get ready to explore the wondrous mountains of Wyoming, engage in meaningful conversations, and share laughter and stories under starry skies.

We’ll learn basic backcountry skills from pitching a tent to reading a map and following Leave No Trace principles. No experience is required, but you will leave with newfound confidence outdoors and memories to last a lifetime.

What: 4-day/ 3-night backpacking trip in the Snowy Mountain Range, Wyoming. (3.5 hr drive, carpooling from Boulder, CO)

Date: August 10-13, 2021

Who: High Schoolers & recent graduates, who are vaccinated

Why: To experience time in the wilderness, away from wifi and worries, and build on the friendships you’ve created over the years.

Skills that will be Taught: 
-Finding /creating “leave no trace campsites” in dispersed spots we pick out ourselves (no established campgrounds)
-Navigation and route finding
-Backcountry cooking
-Bear safety
-Water purifying

Cost: $450/non-members or $400/members

Guides: Dori Bergman and Annamarie Centorrino have years of wilderness experience and also wilderness medical skills.
