A Contemplative Life Scan for Parashat Yitro

A Contemplative Life Scan for Parashat Yitro

Monte Dube has been facilitating the Boulder JCC’s morning meditation sits since it started it in 2019. Last year Monte joined the Board of the Institute for Jewish Spirituality (IJS), where he trained as a Jewish Mindful Meditation Teacher.

Monte, a retired lawyer, is also the immediate past Chairman of the Board of American Jewish World Service.

In honor of Monte’s 65th birthday, he led a 30-minute meditation sit for the Institute for Jewish Spirituality on Monday (2.1.21). His teaching explored this week’s Torah Parsha, Yitro (which was Monte’s Bar Mitzvah Torah portion back in 1969,) through the lens of self-compassion.
