Letter: Teachers’ Unions: Exploited By Barghouti

Dear Letter to the Editor:

The teachers’ unions in San Francisco and Los Angeles that are supporting Omar Barghouti’s antisemitic genocidal BDS movement ignore the reality of Barghouti’s cause. (“War and Peace: The Shape of Teachers’ Anti Israel Drive“, Bruce Ticker, July 1, 2021). For Barghouti, the founder of BDS, “Boycott, Divest & Sanction” is just a euphemism for the destruction of Israel and its Jewish population. Barghouti has said the SOLE purpose of BDS is the euthanasia of Israel.

A student of history, Barghouti knows well that the Nazi T4 Euthanasia Program was the foundation of the final Solution of the Jews as enacted in the Wannsee Protocol in January to 1942. His use of the word euthanasia leaves no doubt that he founded BDS to continue the antisemitic eliminationist mission formalized by Reinhard Heydrich and Adolf Eichmann at the Wannsee Conference.

By supporting BDS and its antisemitic genocidal foundation, the teachers unions in Los Angeles and San Francisco are goose-stepping in perfect harmony with their forerunner, the National Socialist Teachers League.

They call me "NewsHound IV," because I'm a clever Finnegan, sniffing out stories all over the Boulder area. I love Jewish holidays because the food is GREAT, especially the brisket. Well all the food. I was a rescue pup and glad to be on the scent!

Column: Vegas-style Reporting Out of Israel

What is not fit to print is printed. What is fit to print is not printed. These are two glaring examples of what passes for coverage of Israel in two major daily newspapers. One publishes a distorted article, the other ignores significant news. A Jewish weekly even discards news that is important to its ethnic readership.

After seven months on the job, U.S. Rep. Summer Lee set herself up for the winter of Summer, to borrow from “The summer of George” title of a Seinfeld segment. Earlier this month, she traded barbs with the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, which criticized her decision to boycott Israeli President Isaac Herzog’s address before Congress.
