Jerry Glick to Receive “Robert E. Loup Hineni Award” at the Staenberg-Loup JCC’s Annual Celebration

JCC Denver staff to receive the Gerald S. Gray Service and Leadership Award

DENVER, Colo., June 24, 2021 – The Staenberg-Loup Jewish Community Center (JCC Denver) just announced that Denver’s Jerry Glick will receive the Robert E. Loup Hineni Award at the 2021 Annual Celebration on September 12 at the JCC Denver’s newly updated pool. The staff of the JCC Denver will receive the Gerald S. Gray Service and Leadership Award.

Jerry Glick

“Jerry has played an instrumental role in the success of the JCC over the last several years as an advocate for the transaction in 2018 where The Rose Community Foundation purchased the JCC Denver campus, as an advisor, and in his generous community-focused and financial support,” said Ed Nekritz, JCC Denver’s board chair.

The Robert E. Loup Hineni Award acknowledges local, community leaders whose interests and support span an array of important agencies, recognizing those whose philanthropy and volunteerism has a local, regional and often global impact.

“While it may be unique to present an award to an entire staff, there is no better way to thank the JCC’s employees for keeping the community engaged virtually over the last 15 months through the pandemic and for helping the facility reopen as a stronger organization,” said Nekritz.

The Gerald S. Gray Service and Leadership Award acknowledges volunteers who are dedicated leaders within the JCC Denver community. The award was named after two-time JCC Board President and long-time JCC board member, Jerry Gray, who spent his entire adult life actively involved in Jewish life as a JCC community leader.

The 2021 Annual Celebration will be held at the newly renovated JCC Denver pool with a VIP pre-party at 6 p.m. followed by dinner, drinks and a formal program and awards ceremony. Tickets and sponsorship opportunities will be available for purchase at https://www.jccdenver.org/celebrate/.

They call me "NewsHound IV," because I'm a clever Finnegan, sniffing out stories all over the Boulder area. I love Jewish holidays because the food is GREAT, especially the brisket. Well all the food. I was a rescue pup and glad to be on the scent!
