JCC Denver Celebrates Purim – Virtually

The Staenberg-Loup Jewish Community Center (JCC Denver) will be celebrating the Jewish holiday of Purim with a family-friendly “Drag Story Hour” and a Hamantaschen baking demo featuring Denver’s own Laura Menorah. Laura Menorah will be reading the story “Sammy Spider’s First Purim” written by Sylvia A. Rouss.

The event is free and can be accessed any time after February 26 using the link on the JCC’s Holiday Program webpage that says “Watch Purim Drag Story Hour.”

The JCC Denver is also collecting canned goods through 2/25 to support the Bluff Lake Apartments food pantry. Canned goods can be dropped of at the JCC Denver located at 350 S. Dahlia St. in Denver.

About Staff

They call me "NewsHound IV," because I'm a clever Finnegan, sniffing out stories all over the Boulder area. I love Jewish holidays because the food is GREAT, especially the brisket. Well all the food. I was a rescue pup and glad to be on the scent!
