The Boulder JCC is excited to celebrate Chanukah with you and your family. Please join us for one of our upcoming in-person and virtual holiday programs. You’ll find something for every age and all are welcome to join.
On Monday, November 29 at 6:30 pm, Mitten Lowe will lead us virtually through a Zoom class on making homemade Sufganiyot (donuts). These donuts are a delicious and traditional favorite for the holidays. The class also includes a gluten-free option. It is a fun opportunity to cook together as a family from your own kitchen! Celebrate the third night of Chanukah by skating with friends and family at the Winter Skate Rink in downtown Louisville. This fun program is on Tuesday, November 30 at 4 pm. At 5:30 pm, we will light the giant menorah together, enjoy delicious sufganiyot, and hot drinks. Cherryvale Day Camp staff will be there to see all our alumni and future campers. Calling all teens to join us at our Teen Chanukah party on Thursday, December 2 at 5 pm. Celebrate Chanukah with friends at this fun gathering at the Boulder JCC. We’ll play dreidel, eat latkes, decorate cookies, and more. Register HERE.
Also on Thursday, December 2 at 5:30 pm, join us for Chanukah on Pearl. This annual Community Menorah Lighting is held on the 1300 block of the Pearl Street Mall. It is open to the entire community and has become a holiday tradition for many local families. The festivities include the Menorah lighting, music by Steve Brodsky, sufganiyot, latkes, hot chocolate, and more. This event is co-sponsored by the Boulder County Center for Judaism. Sunday, December 5 is a fun-filled morning of celebration! Grab your dancing shoes and join us at 11 am for an interactive outside musical celebration of Chanukah with Jeff and Paige. With elaborate costumes and songs, Jeff and Paige use storytelling to explore Chanukah and celebrate its many traditions. The Village Nosh will be on hand serving latkes and sufganiyot.
