Boulder Teens Invited to Learn About Summer Israel Trip Opportunity

For fifty years, IST (Israel Study Tour) has helped young Jewish Coloradans broaden their knowledge about Israel, its neighbors, and Jewish heritage and history. IST is one of the programs that make the Jewish community in Colorado unique. It is the only trip in the US of its kind. Participants have brought home souvenirs and memories. They’ve made lifelong friends and even, in some cases, met the people they would go on to marry. It’s a lifetime of learning in just five weeks. This trip is open to teens who identify as Jewish or teens who are connected to the Colorado Jewish community and who are currently juniors in high school.

2022 registration is open now. This is an amazing opportunity for your teen to be part of a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Israel with other teens from around Colorado. Our over 3,000 alumni have shared that IST changed their lives and helped build relationships that have encouraged their growth in the Jewish community.  Six Boulder teens joined the trip in 2021, and some will be joining IST director Jillian Feiger in person on October 21 at the Boulder JCC at 6:30 pm,  and on Zoom on October 24 at 3 pm, to talk about their experience.  Both options will give both parents and teens the opportunity to discuss the itinerary, the pre-tour programming, and the financial aspects of the trip. The information sessions are free to attend but advance registration is required.

Forty-three Colorado teens are already signed up with the goal of 90 by the end of the year. Parents who register by November 1 will guarantee the price and have the best opportunity for financial aid.  If you are interested in learning more and the information session dates do not work please email IST@JEWISHcolorado.org.
