This Week at Nevei Kodesh and Chanukah Begins!

Nevei Kodesh, a warm and welcoming Jewish Renewal Community invites you to join us virtually for prayer, study and connection!  We have events this weekend and then special Chanukah events.

Shabbat Blessings and Songs, Friday, Dec. 4, 6:00 – 6:50 pm  Family friendly online, participatory, musical service led by our religious school staff to bring in Shabbat.  All are welcome to attend!  To register and for zoom link, click here.

Shabbat Morning Service, Saturday, Dec 5, 10:00 am, led by Ed Kass and Susan Berman

Please join in as we connect the kavanot (intention) of our Shabbat prayers to the spiritual energies of Kislev: courage, faith, and hope in working to realize our dreams and the yearnings of our hearts. For the Torah service, we will discuss the lessons we can draw from the story of Jacob’s “wrestling with a man until the break of dawn”.

Celebrate Chanukah Together!  Nightly community candlelighting starts this Thursday,  Dec 10, 6:00 pm

This year Nevei Kodesh leaders and staff will be hosting a zoom gathering each night of Chanukah from 6-6:30pm (except on Shabbat when we have a special evening of events).  We’ll join in lighting our Chanukiyot together, followed by sharing interactive short experiences. These may be songs, stories, teachings, group sharing, movement, or short meditations.
