Rebbe-meises: Chasidic Stories from Reb Zalman, Told by Eve Ilsen

Presented by ACE at the Boulder JCC
Thursday, November 19th, 12:00 – 1:00 pm

Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi z”l (1924 – 2014) —or “Reb Zalman,” as he preferred to be known— was the most influential Jewish change-maker of his generation. His ideas and innovations spawned the worldwide Jewish Renewal movement, the Havurah movement, numerous Jewish retreat centers, modern social-change programs, and the interfaith “eldering wisdom” movement.

Join master performer and storyteller Eve Ilsen as she shares some of the most memorable and life-affirming “rebbe meises” (rabbinic fables), shared with her by Reb Zalman over the course of their twenty-seven-year marriage.

Eve Ilsen is a psychotherapist, singer, and storyteller. Her studies and work have taken her from somatic psychology in California and Denmark, to flying to rural villages in Alaska, and to Jerusalem with Mme. Colette Aboulker-Muscat.

The cost of this event is $10 per household. Please register here.
