The Colorado Hebrew Chorale and its women’s choir, Kol Nashim announce the following virtual programs for November 2020.
L’Chaim – A Taste of Jewish Music from – Anywhere!
The fourth program of the Colorado Hebrew Chorale’s monthly series will be held Monday, Nov 9, 2020, 7:30 pm MST during the Hebrew month of Cheshvan. Attendees will “travel” to “Anatevka” together with Zalmen Mlotek!

Mr. Mlotek is an internationally recognized authority on Yiddish folk and theater music as well as a leading figure in the Jewish theatre and concert worlds. For the past 20 years, he has been the Artistic Director and conductor at National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene (NYTF) His vision brought the critically acclaimed award-winning Fidler Afn Dakh (“Fiddler on the Roof” in Yiddish-2018-2020) to Broadway, directed by Joel Grey, and will serve as musical supervisor for the International and National tours being planned.
Participants in L’Chaim – Anatevka will be offered a “behind the scenes” look at Fidler Afn Dakh. In addition to hearing fascinating stories about how the production came to be, you will have the opportunity to sing some of the beloved songs from the show – in YIDDISH!
The program is free and open to the public but registration is require so that participants can receive the Zoom link, song sheets, and recipes. Marvelous Musical Men
Kol Nashim inaugurates this new monthly series on Thursday, November 19, 7:00 pm. The program features some of the marvelous male singers of Israel and magnificent music they made. In addition to fascinating biographical information, each session will include teaching of sections of the songs, enabling participants to sing along with the YouTube videos played as part of the presentation. Kol Nashim Rehearsals
