It is with great regret but with concern for the health of our singers and guests, that we must notify you that the forthcoming Sing Out for SafeHouse concert, scheduled for March 15 at Temple Emanuel, has been cancelled.
We plan to reschedule the event and will notify you when it will occur.
We thank you for your understanding at this difficult time.
Kol Nashim, the women’s choir of the Colorado Hebrew Chorale, will be participating in Sing Out for SafeHouse on Sunday, March 15, 2020, 5:30 pm at Temple Emanuel, 51 Grape Street in Denver. Three hundred women will be raising their voices in support of survivors of domestic violence.
This biennial concert raises awareness and assistance for SafeHouse Denver Inc., which serves survivors of domestic violence and their children through an emergency shelter, a non-residential Counseling and Advocacy Center, and an Extended Stay Program. All of the adults, children and youth who come to SafeHouse Denver have access to a full range of bilingual programming, including individual counseling, group sessions, advocacy and safety planning.
Kol Nashim, will be joined by Denver Children’s Choir’s Fourteeners, East High School’s Seraphim, Impromptu community women’s choir, Metro State University Treble Choir, and Denver Women’s Chorus. Additional support for Sing Out for SafeHouse is provided by SCFD, JEWISHColorado, and the Rose Community Foundation.
A minimum donation of $18 per attendee is suggested. 100% of this money goes directly to SafeHouse and is matched by an anonymous donor. Donations of shampoo and/or conditioner (any size) are accepted in lieu of, or in addition to, a cash donation.
Kol Nashim is under the direction of Leah Peer. Since its inception in 2013, Kol Nashim has embraced issues surrounding victims of domestic violence. Its women’s voices sing out to raise awareness and funds for those affected both locally and in Israel. Information: KNinfo@coloradohebrewchorale.org; (904) 521-7016.
