Celebrate the High Holidays – Humanistically!

Beth Ami – Colorado Congregation for Humanistic Judaism www.bethami.com celebrates Jewish holidays, learning, and life-cycle events through the secular lens of history, culture, and reason.  Join us for our Rosh Hashanah, Tashlich and Yom Kippur events!

Our founder Rabbi Sherwin Wine wrote a book in 1995 called “Staying Sane in a Crazy World.” How did he know how crazy our world would be in 2020? With courage, dignity and a minimum of technical difficulties, our community will come together for the holidays and welcome visitors to check in. All events are free. Questions, info and RSVP at BethAmiRSVP@gmail.com.

Shofar in the Park on Monday!

To accommodate those who would otherwise not participate in formal Rosh Hashanah synagogue services, Rabbi Scheiner of Boulder Center for Judaism is promoting a brief, open-to-all, Rosh Hashanah ceremony that includes the primary observances of the holiday. There will be a special activity for kids and a small holiday gift takeaway.

A Riddle for You

Our sages teach the power of Rosh Hashanah: This is when G-d bestows the world, and each individual creature, with all of the divine blessings for the upcoming year. He opens new channels to allow our unique gifts to enter our lives.
