Baruch Dayan HaEmet – Michael Kosakoff z”l

Rabbi Michael Kosakoff (Michael ben Laibel v’Chaya Udel) passed away at Balfour Senior Living on Thursday, March 12, 2020 after a long illness.

Michael was 80 in December.  He was a deep, mystical and complex man, a psychologist and a rabbi, as well as Reb Zalman’s videographer and friend. On his mother’s side, Michael was a direct descendant of the Baal Shem Tov.

There will be a graveside funeral tomorrow (Friday) at 2:00 pm at Mountain View Memorial Park, 3016 Kalmia Ave, Boulder, CO 80301.  

Michael is survived by his sisters Phyllis and Anita who will be observing shiva back east, as well as friends and students.

Shiva will be observed by Phyllis Karp in Boynton Beach, FL and Anita Glick in Morris Plains, NJ.
