Melvin Burton Margolis (Moshe Ber ben Chaim Yosef), father of Bonai Shalom member Dr. Michael Margolis, passed away  in the early hours of Shabbat, December 26, 2020.  Mel has been living locally in the Balfour community and declining mentally and physically in the last months and years.  Michael and Beth have been devoted to his care throughout. 

Melvin Margolis was a dentist and served in the US Air Force as well as the Army Reserves. He is predeceased by his wife Letty who died seven years ago and Mel never recovered from this loss.  Mel will be buried next to her in Chicago later this week once arrangements have been made.
