20s/30s Shabbat Alone, Together with OneTable

In these very uncertain times, we know that Shabbat can be an anchor. We’re working on ways to bring Shabbat tables together, even while we must remain physically apart.

And while we’ll continue to support local communities in unique ways, these updates are totally digital, and so available to all. Also – we’re working on more resources for those who don’t use tech during Shabbat and we’ll let you know when they’re live.

  1. We’ve launched a landing page for Shabbat Alone, Together at onetable.org/shabbatshalone
  2. We’re published our Shabbat Alone, Together Shabbat Guide available on that landing page and in a direct link here.
  3. FRIDAY (3/20): we will be streaming a live challah baking class. Zoe Plotsky will be teaching live on the @onetableshabbat Insta at the following times for our participants to bake along:
    12:00 – 12:30 MDT: make dough
    2:30-2:45 MDT: challah braiding
    4:00 pm MDT: bake
4:30 pm MDT: Take the challah out and welcome Shabbat! (She’ll be leading ritual as well.)

I hope that you and your communities are as healthy and safe as possible. We’re looking for more ways to support each other, so please reach out with any ideas.

About Staff

They call me "NewsHound IV," because I'm a clever Finnegan, sniffing out stories all over the Boulder area. I love Jewish holidays because the food is GREAT, especially the brisket. Well all the food. I was a rescue pup and glad to be on the scent!
