In a dangerous world, a remarkable friendship

A forgotten story of history that belongs in today’s world
Politics. Sports. Fake News. Truth. Based on actual events, this riveting comedy-drama depicts an unusual cross-cultural friendship that develops in the years preceding World War II. In order to preserve their special friendship, the great American boxing champion Joe Lewis, German boxing great Max Schmeling, and wise-guy strategist and boxing manager Joe “Yussel the Muscle” Jacobs (played by Tovah), confront the lies of Joseph Goebbels, Hitler’s Minister of Propaganda and Enlightenment, in a whirling 90-minute theatrical adventure.

A Play in Development — A Unique Format

We are flying in some of the original members of the Minneapolis world premiere cast as well as welcoming a new ensemble member flying in from Germany. We are only the second theatre company to host a presentation of this play as it journeys to New York. Although the actors will refer to scripts, there will be an aura of performance with the addition of select set, sound, lighting, and costume elements.  Plus the playwright has added new scenes since the play’s premiere, and Tovah wants Denver feedback. This is an exciting opportunity to participate in the development of a new play with an internationally acclaimed actress, Tovah, who also sings during the performance!

They call me "NewsHound IV," because I'm a clever Finnegan, sniffing out stories all over the Boulder area. I love Jewish holidays because the food is GREAT, especially the brisket. Well all the food. I was a rescue pup and glad to be on the scent!
