I was on a amazing and beautiful road trip from Telluride, Colorado to Taos, New Mexico, listening to Joseph Campbell in conversation with Bill Moyers on “The Power of Myth” on an audio book. The stunning landscapes and profound wisdom made me think of the powerful, central narrative of Sinai in this week’s parsha, Yitro. How does that story, that defining myth shape us every day?
Purim is fast approaching and of course, two of the important aspects of the holiday involve wine - "drink until you can't tell Mordechai from Haman" - and giving charity to the poor.
